ABOUT THIS TEA
Oriental Beauty Oolong, also known as Dongfang Meiren, is one of Taiwan’s most treasured teas of the 20th century. Grown in select mountain regions and crafted with great care, it is shaped by a rare natural collaboration between tea plant and environment. When the tea leaves are gently bitten by the tea jassid, the plant responds by producing protective compounds. Through careful oxidative processing, these compounds transform into Oriental Beauty’s signature aroma—softly honeyed, with notes reminiscent of ripe muscat grapes.
Elegant and naturally sweet, this tea is best enjoyed slowly, when the senses are calm and attentive. Its smooth, rounded character makes it especially suited for quiet afternoons, moments of reflection, or as a companion to meditation and intentional rest. Each infusion reveals new layers without intensity, inviting presence rather than stimulation.
